ATHLETICS: All the action from the Chiltern Cross Country League

Following the fourth round at Keysoe Equestrian Centre, Bedford, the under 15 boys and under 13 girls teams sit second in their respective Division 2 age groups.

Anna Jolliffe ran well in the girls event, finishing 17th overall and fifth among the runners from her division.

Edward Jolliffe led the way for Bicester in the under 15 boys race, coming sixth in Division 2 as he crossed 22nd.

Quinn Miell-Ingram finished third in the under 13 boys competition, helping Radley stay in the top three.

Oxford City’s Isabella Haines-Gray took victory by six seconds in the under 11 girls race.

Abingdon’s Adam Ede secured a top-ten finish in the under 17 men’s race, crossing ninth.

William Christofi, of Oxford University, impressed as a guest runner in the senior men’s event, crossing second, with fellow student Jack Millar third.

Headington RR’s Fergus Campbell was the first vet 50 home in 42nd overall.

City duo John Exley and Stewart Thorp also put in strong performances, finishing top vet 70 and second vet 60 respectively.

In the women’s race, Thame Runners’ Steph Cook was the third vet 55.

Elsewhere, Alchester’s Jenny McBain was the second lady home at the Oundle 10k.

Meanwhile, the Abingdon 10k takes place at Tilsley Park on Sunday.
