JOHN Mousinho’s assist last weekend left everyone stunned – except the man himself.
The Oxford United skipper’s 83 appearances for the club have come at centre half and defensive midfield.
But his delivery for Jerome Sinclair’s winning goal against Scunthorpe United was more like a seasoned winger.

Mousinho said: “It surprised everyone and I’ve had a lot of positive feedback.
“I’ve tried to tell the young lads here that back in the day I was an attacking midfielder and I played at right back, so I did cross the ball.
“I’m not sure what I was doing there, but we’ve been trying to switch the ball a lot more.

“It’s not rocket science, if you get the right types of delivery in often enough the centre halves will make a mistake.
“They had two big, dominant defenders and we still managed two goals with Jerome’s clever movement.”
