DANIEL Ricciardo came home in seventh place at yesterday’s Chinese Grand Prix in Shanghai.

The Australian produced a fine display in his Enstone-based Renault car to secure his first points of the season having started the third race of the season from the same position as he finished.

There was frustration for teammate Nico Hulkenberg, however.

The German was forced to retire after 16 laps shortly after making a pit stop.

Both Haas cars, from Banbury, ended without points.

Romain Grosjean was agonisingly just one place outside in 11th, while Kevin Magnussed was a further two positions behind.

It was another tough race for the Grove-based Williams team.

George Russell, 16th, and Robert Kubica, one place behind, were the final two cars to finish.
