BRADLEY Squires, Kevin Alder and Paul Sharman are the Oxfordshire Indoor Bowling Association’s triples champions.
The Carterton members saw off clubmates Joe Justin, Paul Justin and Andy McIntyre in a tense contest lasting nearly four hours.
They eventually triumphed 14-12 over 18 ends, their rivals just failing to claw back an early deficit which saw the final go down to a thrilling final end.
Although Joe Justin was in fine form early on, Sharman produced a number of saving shots to keep his side in a narrow lead.
However, Squires and Alder then started to turn the screw and helped their team move 12-5 ahead after 12 ends.
However, their clubmates gradually got on top and pulled the score back to 13-12 going into the final
end.
But they were unable to find the crucial shot as Squires, Alder and Sharman lifted the Tom Stewart Memorial Trophy.
