ALEX Gorrin is buzzing to be back for Oxford United when they travel to Milton Keynes Dons this afternoon.

He served a one-game ban last weekend, sitting out the 0-0 draw with Shrewsbury Town, but returns to ease Karl Robinson’s midfield issues.

And while it was not ideal, a break ahead of the busy festive schedule could be a blessing in disguise.

Gorrin said: “I didn’t want to miss the game, but I’ve got a little bit of a rest.

“I’m feeling fresh and I’m ready to go for this period with a lot of games.

“It’s hard to watch from the stands, but I thought the boys did well.”

With James Henry only able to make the bench at best and Anthony Forde out, Robinson still has a decision to make on who else plays in midfield.

Jordan Moore-Taylor (knee) is a doubt for the home side, while Rhys Healey (thigh) is sidelined.
