Boss Andy Whing, who included new signings Kelvin Langmead and Sam Brown, saw Awadh open the scoring with a fine effort inside ten minutes.

He doubled the lead midway through the half, nutmegging the goalkeeper at the end of a sweeping move.

Singh extended the lead with a low striker from the edge of the box after the break, before Daventry pulled a goal back late on through Kieran Fitzgerald.
