CAMERON Brannagan is a doubt for Oxford United's trip to Accrington Stanley due to an illness.
The midfielder, who scored in the fixture last season, is due to see a doctor this afternoon.
United felt it was not clear whether he would need to have a test for coronavirus, which would be decided by the medical staff.
EFL clubs are no longer holding regular testing for players, who will be swabbed if they show symptoms.
Boss Karl Robinson, who has argued for a mandatory system to return, said: "Cameron Brannagan missed training today with an illness, but he is seeing a doctor today before it is decided whether he needs to be screened.
"We can't waste the tests just because we have them.
"You have to make sure you do the right things by the current guidelines.
"We'll see where he's at this afternoon."
