OXFORD United's derby against Swindon Town is set to be postponed due to positive coronavirus tests within the visitors' ranks, according to reports.

Tomorrow's Sky Bet League One clash at the Kassam Stadium was meant to be the rivals' first meeting since February 2017.

But local media in Wiltshire have this afternoon reported that the match is off following positive tests within the Swindon squad.

Update: U's understood to be preparing as normal following afternoon of confusion

It would mean United losing yet another free midweek, with their next Tuesday without a game not until December 8.

Swindon's women's team announced yesterday they would be pausing "all football activity" for 14 days, starting from last Sunday, due to an outbreak of coronavirus at the club.

Meanwhile, the Robins' pre-match press conference - scheduled for this afternoon - was cancelled.

The U's are now set to have had three games called off this season due to opponents recording positive tests.

The home fixture against Crewe Alexandra was postponed twice earlier this month, with the match rearranged for Tuesday, November 17.

The derby is set to be the second League One game this weekend to be postponed due to coronavirus, after Accrington's home game against Bristol Rovers was called off yesterday following nine positive cases - including eight players - in the Stanley set-up.
