OXFORDSHIRE products Alfie Barbeary and Charlie Atkinson have been selected for a three-day England training camp ahead of the national side's summer tour of Australia.

The Wasps pair, who started their careers at Banbury Bulls and Oxford respectively, will be part of Eddie Jones' 35-man squad that meets in Teddington tomorrow.

It is the first time 20-year-old Atkinson has been involved in a senior England camp, while Barbeary is yet to make his debut.

Jones' men are building up to next Sunday's match against the Barbarians at Twickenham and their three-test tour Down Under next month.

England face Australia on the first three Saturdays of July in Perth, Brisbane and Sydney respectively.

Atkinson attended Abingdon School and played for Oxford as a youngster, before graduating to Wasps' academy.

The fly-half was promoted to the first team last May and has made 19 appearances for the Gallagher Premiership club in the 2021/22 season.

Barbeary, who grew up in Deddington, was named in the squad for this year’s Six Nations and recently took part in an England training camp.

The 21-year-old has had a productive 2022 for Wasps after an injury-hit 2021.

The former Bloxham School pupil scored eight tries in 14 matches in the calendar year for the Coventry-based outfit.
