OXFORD United fans watched their heroes sweat in an open training session at the club’s pre-season camp in Spain.
The U’s allowed supporters to attend as they continued their preparations for the new campaign with some energy-sapping drills at the Marbella Football Center this morning.
Among those present was five-year-old United supporter Gianni, who joined in with the warm-up and scored a penalty past goalkeeper Jack Stevens.

And U’s head coach Karl Robinson revealed the youngster was particularly keen to check all the players were reporting for training.
“There was a young lad who just wanted to make sure Cameron Brannagan got off the bus - I said ‘so do I’,” he joked.
“He was quite shocked when Matty Taylor came over to say hello to him.
“We do this job for those people, that’s part of what we want to achieve here: a connection with other people who love the club more than us, in some ways. It’s nice seeing them here.”
This afternoon, United changed sports as they tried out kick boxing and padel ball at a nearby venue.
The U’s are not playing any matches in Spain and are due to return later this week ahead of their opening friendly at Oxford City.
