Bishops Cleeve 3 ((Mansell pen 35, pen 81, Price 84)

North Leigh 3 ((McNish 16, 83, Osborne-Ricketts 61)

North Leigh let a lead slip three times as they were held to a draw at bottom club Bishops Cleeve in Division 1 South & West on Tuesday.

Callum McNish’s shot took a sharp deflection for the Millers’ opener, but Richard Mansell levelled with a penalty, for a foul by Andy Gunn.

Two minutes later, North Leigh’s Kieran Sanders had a penalty easily saved by Steve Benbow.

Elliott Osborne-Ricketts res-tored North Leigh’s lead after the break, but Mansell scored his second spot-kick following a Gunn foul.

McNish headed North Leigh ahead again, only for Charlie Price to hammer home a spectacular shot. North Leigh: Bulman, Else, M Woodley (Hopkins 56), Hole, Gunn, Westlake (A Woodley 64), Osborne-Ricketts, McNish, Williams (Ingram 70), Sanders, Bowles. Subs not used: Turk, Eadle.

Attendance: 89.

Fleet Tn 2 (Carr 30, J White 74)

North Leigh 2 (Caton 25, Hole 32)

North Leigh twice let slip the lead as they drew at Fleet Town on Saturday.

However, in the end, Mark Gee’s side were grateful for a point after being forced to hold on in the latter stages.

Fleet started brightly, but gradually the Millers got a grip on the game.

And they went ahead on 25 minutes when a corner wasn’t cleared and Elliott Osborne-Ricketts returned the ball back into the box where Andy Caton fired home from five yards.

The hosts drew level five minutes later when Rob Carr drove in a shot which took a wicked deflection to beat North Leigh keeper Matt Bulman.

The visitors went back in front almost straight from the kick-off.

Morgan Williams was fouled on the edge of the Fleet penalty area and skipper Stuart Hole curled his free-kick into the top corner.

Caton cleared off the line early in the second half, but the hosts were on top and drew level when Jack White slotted home Carr’s cross with 16 minutes remaining.

Both sides had chances, with the two goalkeepers each making good saves, but a draw was a fair result.

North Leigh: Bulman, Else, Hopkins (M Woodley 81), Hole, Gunn, Caton, A Woodley (Turk 75), McNish, Williams, Sanders, Osborne-Ricketts. Subs not used: Ingram, Bowles.

Attendance: 83.

Kieran Sanders (2), Andy Gunn and Morgan Williams netted as North Leigh beat nine-man Wantage Town 4-2 at home last Wednesday.

Stuart Cattell was sent off, while Sam Parrish was stretchered off for the visitors, who replied through Jimmy Deabill and Matt Jones.
