SNOOKER: J’s Sports Bar A secured the Oxford & District League Division 1 title in the most thrilling of circumstances.
Going into the final round a point behind leaders Highfield B, a 4-2 victory over Highfield A saw them nervously await the outcome of their rivals’ clash.
And the celebrations started when news came through that Highfield B had been held to a 3-3 draw by New Club A, leaving the teams level on points but giving J’s the title.

BILLIARDS: Nigel Bossom beat Keith Hollis to lift the Oxford & District League’s Arthur Cook Handicap Cup.
After seeing off Tony Fitzpatrick in the last four, Bossom defeated Hollis – who had beaten Mark Trafford in the semi-finals – 200-184 to lift the trophy.
