CRAIG Holland played a starring role as Chinnor made it three wins in four games when beating Caldy 20-17 away.
The fly-half scored all of the points as the Thame-based side remained sixth, but just six points off leaders Blackheath in National League 1.
There is also now a 13-point gap between Chinnor and seventh-placed Cinderford.
A Benjamin Jones penalty put Caldy 3-0 up after two minutes.
But Chinnor went on to lead 13-3 at the break, thanks to two penalties and a converted try from Holland.
Jack Gilding was sent to the sin-bin for the visitors on 59 minutes.
And Caldy made the most of the man advantage to lead 17-13 as Rhys Hayes and Josiah Dickinson went over, Jones adding the extras.
But Chinnor secured victory with nine minutes remaining, when Holland converted his own try to complete a fine day for himself and his side.
Henley Hawks have slipped to fourth place after falling to successive defeats in National League 2 South, losing 23-12 at Tonbridge Juddians.
Matas Jurevicus went over, Will Robinson, who had earlier kicked a penalty, adding the extras, as the hosts opened up a 10-0 lead.
Another Robinson penalty extended Tonbridge’s lead to 13 unanswered points.
Henley got on the scoreboard thanks to George Wood’s unconverted try.
But a third penalty from Robinson put Tonbridge 16-5 in front at the break.
Hawks piled on the pressure and the hosts had Toby Maywas sin-binned, leading to George Griffiths diving over and Roddy Giles adding the extras.
But Murray Galbraith-Lowe’s fine solo try, converted by Robinson, saw the hosts make it 23-12 with 15 minutes to go and put the game beyond Henley.
