BICESTER overcame Wallingford 31-22 to finish their Southern Counties North season on a high.

The hosts, who had already secured fourth place in the league, took an early lead when Peter Tarrega sprinted over from 70 metres, Dan Walker converting.

But Wallingford headed into the break 8-7 ahead, thanks to Ben Selwood’s try and penalty.

Bicester raced into a 26-8 lead in the second half, when Walker, Joey Sibun and Will Anns crossed.

Walker converted twice as the visitors had work to do.

Wallingford hit back when Dan Sadler converted his own try.

But Bicester put the result beyond doubt as George Withers drove over to make it 31-15.

The visitors, who finished sixth in the table, scored their third try late on, Nathan Chapman sprinting over and Walker converting.

Bottom side Littlemore handed Reading Abbey a walkover.

Ben Nicholl scored a hat-trick of tries as Grove beat North Dorset 41-24 at home to finish fourth in Southern Counties South.

Guy Nicholl, Ben Law and Steve Dixie also went over for the home side.

James Monks kicked four conversions and a penalty.

Andrew Pynegar scored a hat-trick of tries as Didcot ended their season with a flourish when beating Tadley 57-7.

The side had already secured second in the BB&O Premier and, subject to a possible league restructure, are awaiting confirmation of their promotion.

Lloyd Taylor (2), Cameron Arnott (2), Craig Samuel, Thom Harrington and Chris Newson also crossed. Arnott added a penalty and two conversions.

Gosford All Blacks leapfrogged Oxford into fifth when overcoming their local rivals 64-10 at home.

Seventh-placed Wheatley were beaten 43-21 at Chesham.

Jordan Hook, Alex Acklam and Aaron Laman, who converted all three tries, went over.
