Overnight work on Oxford's Southern Bypass

Repairs were carried out on Oxford's A423 Southern Bypass overnight yesterday.

The road between the Kennington roundabout and the Heyford Hill roundabout was closed to all traffic except emergency services from 12.30am to about 3.30am.

Oxford County Council spokesman Marcus Mabberley said: “The work was done overnight to avoid disruption to the flow of rush-hour traffic.”

And the repairs are breaking up already only a few hours later, and they completely missed the big pot hole by the manhole cover just after Kennington roundabout. Why didn't they resurface the whole stretch when they wasted all that money on the traffic lights last year.
