A MAN sexually exposed himself in North Oxford in front of two teenage girls.

Police said the man 'touched himself inappropriately' in public on Tuesday night, in Banbury Road, close to the Staverton Road junction.

Two girls aged 16 and 17, who were inside a property at the time, saw the exposure at about 11.40pm.

He was carrying a bottle and smoking a cigarette.

The man was described as white and aged in his mid-30s to mid-40s, with dark hair.

He was wearing a dark hip-length puffer jacket and dark trousers.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Daniel Hayward, urged witnesses and anyone with information to come forward.

In December police appealed for witnesses after repeated reports of a man flashing outside St Clare's college in Banbury Road, which is just metres from where the latest exposure happened.

The man in those reports was described as white and in his 40s, also with dark hair, but police have not confirmed if it is thought to be the same person.
