A PERFORMANCE by young saxophonist Hannah Marcinowicz launches a new series of Music on the Hill concerts at Kingham Hill School on Saturday.
Hannah was chosen artist for the Tillett Trust Young Artists’ Platform, which led to her Wigmore Hall debut in 2008.
She has also given solo recitals at the Royal Festival Hall as an award-winner of the Philharmonia Orchestra Martin Musical Scholarship Fund, and in the Purcell Room as a Park Lane Group Young Artist, where she premiered a new work by Giles Swayne.
As a concerto soloist, Hannah has performed with the European Union Chamber Orchestra, and she has played on radio and television.
On Saturday, November 9, the next concert features the 11-piece jazz band CNS Allstars, from Chipping Norton School, including members of the Green Note Quartet who performed at the Big Feastival last month and at No 10 Downing Street during a garden party.
Tickets for Saturday’s concert in the school chapel, priced £10, are available by calling 01608 731880 or send email reservation requests to events@kinghamhill.org
A reduced ticket price is available for patrons who book for both concerts together.
