TWO West Oxfordshire men have raised almost £300 for charities which helped them in times of crisis.
Andrew Brooks, 30, from Carterton, and his friend Dean Winstone, 49, of Hailey, held a table-top sale at Hailey Village Hall to raise money for Ssnap (Support for the Sick Newborn And their Parents) and spinal injury charity Aspire.
Mr Brooks and his wife, Kat, 30, were helped by Ssnap after the death in May of their daughter, Indianna Grace. He said: “My daughter was born quite ill and she died on the same day.”
Aspire helped Mr Winstone after his neck was broken in a fall in 2007. He is paralysed from the chest down.
They are also holding a fundraising quiz at the Lamb & Flag pub in Hailey at 7.30pm on Sunday, December 16.
