CAR enthusiasts are in for a treat tomorrow as more than 500 vehicles visit Witney for the annual motor show.
The event, which has been going since 1966, takes place on Henry Box School’s playing fields from 6pm to 9pm.
It features classic cars, including MGs from the 1930s, modern cars from local dealers, and trade stands.
The show, which in previous years has attracted more than 2,000 people, also celebrates the 50th anniversary of Witney Motor Club, which stages the event.
Chairman Steve Boyle said: “People can expect to see cars spanning more than 80 years, from a 1933 MG right up to the brand new ones today.
“There will be some really highly-polished and well-cherished cars.”
The club was founded in 1963 after former town mayor Arthur Titherington, who died in 2010, placed a notice in the Witney Gazette, asking if anyone was interested in forming a motor club. The reaction was enough to form a committee.
