HUNDREDS of people enjoyed a summer fete held to raise funds for a Witney community hall.

The event at Madley Park Hall, in Northfield Farm Lane, on Saturday attracted about 300 people and raised £600, which will be used to buy extra equipment for the hall.

Activities included a bouncy castle, children’s crafts, face painting, lucky dip and splat a rat.

Hall manager Kelly Hale said: “It went really well. It was the most successful one we have had.

"It just brought the community together. Seeing lots of new faces was the highlight for me.”
