A PANTOMIME returns to Witney later this month after five years away.
Witney Dramatic Society will perform Jack and the Beanstalk at the High Street Methodist Church from February 20 to 23.
Following the closure of the Corn Exchange in 2011, the society moved to the Methodist Church and struggled to find a stage fit for a pantomime, eventually deciding to focus on smaller-scale productions.
But the show returns to the church later this month, with the cast and crew featuring students at Abingdon and Witney College, while musical director Tom Fletcher-Manuel is a former student at The Henry Box School.

Wendy Hurp, who is co-directing the show alongside Peter Fisher, has called for a proper performance space for Witney's drama groups.
She added: “We are absolutely delighted to revive the WDS panto tradition in Witney."
Tickets are £10, with concessions £8, and are available from Rapture Records, Witney, at witneydrama.co.uk, or by calling Margaret Hamm on 01993 704032.
