POLICE are selling a musical decanter and a 'job lot' of copper piping this week.

The unusual finds are being flogged on the Thames Valley Police eBay page, which the force uses to sell old evidence and unclaimed items.

Some of it has been stolen and then seized by officers in an investigation, or handed in at stations.

They hold the items for a while before making the decision to give it away, bin it or sell it.

The eBay page is where all of the selling pile ends up, and then the cash raised gets but into the Police Property Act Fund.

Money from that gets divvied up to good causes in Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire by the police and crime commissioner.

The online buying and selling page is regularly updated and this week there are 22 weird and wonderful items.

The lot's get put on the site at a starting price of 99p but buyers battle with bids and often the price ends up at a fraction off the retail price.

There is one catch though, winners must collect everything in person from the police eBay HQ in Milton Keynes.
