DRIVERS have been warned to be careful on the roads this morning as the cold conditions continue.

A yellow weather warning for 'freezing fog' has been issued by the Met Office for part of southern Oxfordshire, including Abingdon and Faringdon.

In place until 11am it says people should expect 'slower journey times' with delays to bus and train services possible.

Oxfordshire County Council's travel account tweeted: "There is widespread frost and ice over the county and dense patchy fog so take great care when venturing out."

It advised: "Lights on: Be seen, be safe."

Temperatures are not expected to go above 0C until around 10am, with the Met Office saying in Oxford it will reach a high of 5C by 1pm.

Fog in the city is forecast to clear by 9am leaving the rest of the day dry with sunshine.
