CHILDREN from a nursery helped launch a new suite at a care home in Witney.

Special guests from St Hugh of Lincoln nursery joined the Care UK team at Millers Grange in Curbridge Road for a ceremonial ribbon cutting to officially open the home's new dementia suite.

The Bobbin Suite, which will provide dementia care for people in Witney and the surrounding area, offers a dementia-friendly environment, including reminiscence areas to encourage residents to bring back happy memories.

It also features a Tovertafel, an interactive ‘magic table’, which stimulates the mind and encourages interaction across the generations.

The interactive games, which are all about enjoyment and wonder, stimulate both physical and cognitive activity, and encourage social interaction, as well as creating treasured moments with family members and carers.
