All the fun of the fair has come back to Witney - and there’s free rides on offer for NHS workers.

Hatwells Funfair, based in Freeland, wanted to say thank you for all NHS staff have done over the past year.

Organiser Kerry Williams, of the Hatwells family, said: “We thought it would be a nice gesture.

“All they have to do is show ID and they can go on any of the rides for free.”

The fair opened yesterday and will be on the Leys recreation ground until Sunday.

Mrs Williams said: “We have had a lot of things to put in place, a lot of paperwork, to put on the fair but I have got to say Witney Town Council have been very, very helpful.”

She said she thought it would be busy. “We were in Wallingford a couple of weeks ago and we got such positive feedback. I think a lot of families with small children will be really, really happy to see us.”
