Each week, local authorities in Oxfordshire issue the notices, which cover roadworks, in addition to both licensing and planning applications.

Former Caffe Nero, Burford: Proposal is the removal of a condition of planning permission which put restrictions on trading hours at 136-142 High Street Burford.

It was part of permission granted in 2007 for change of use from art gallery to coffee shop.

Applicant Cirencester Estates Limited want the conditions removed as "recent coronavirus restrictions have made operating a coffee shop with no outside space unviable from this site".

Correspondence from agents Moore Allen and Innocent say "pressures from online retail and an uncertain economy require physical retailers to have a degree of flexibility and agility to meet market demands and create new sources of revenue. Restrictions on trading hours are the antithesis of this."

They say they have had several expressions of interest "but all have been contingent on the removal of this restriction".

They say "Whilst there remains a need to preserve the reasonable amenities of adjoining residents, there is also a need to ensure that Burford High Street contains a variety of viable businesses to support the local economy.

"It should be noted that the residential property above the retail premises is in the ownership of the applicant and is currently vacant."
