A photographer has snapped two astonishing pictures of the Milky Way from a high spot in Oxfordshire.

Oxford Mail Camera Club member Bryan Robertson captured the image during a meet up with other Camera Club members.

The small group met at entrance to the old BT Radio station half a mile west of the village of Leafield, as this area is relatively dark and high up.

Mr Robertson explained: “There were only three of us due to the late call as the sky has to be totally clear.

"We will probably have another go in three to four weeks when both the sun and moon are below the horizon again, as it needs to be as dark as possible.”

This was the first post-Covid meet up for the group and during the stargazing session they managed to capture two stunning photographs of the Milky Way.
