A 'psychic' alpaca predicted that both England and Wales would both lose their World Cup games today.

Alfie, who lives on Fairytale Farm near Chipping Norton, appeared on ITV's This Morning with owner Nick Laister, and was asked to pick between a feeder decorated with the UK flag, and another with the Iranian flag.

He later did the same test with the Welsh and US flags.

Presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield moaned at Alfie as he revealed England would lose three-to-nil against Iran, and the US team would beat Wales one nil.

Alfie actually returned to the feeder with the Iranian flag for a second and third time.

"Does it mean three-nil," Holly asked. "Things aren't looking great for England."

Phil pointed out that Alfie didn't have "a massive track record".

"I'm just trying to make myself and everybody else feel just that little bit better," he told Holly.

Owner Mr Laister then changed the flags on the feeders and the Alpaca chose the American one over the Welsh flag.

"He might as well be spitting in your face," Holly told Phil, who said he was "doubting on behalf of Wales".

But Holly replied: "The alpaca has spoken, unfortunately, if he's right, Iran to win and USA."

Mr Laister said he is fairly confident that "Alfie knows what he is doing."

He added that the animal can see through people, and has a "knowing look that tells you 'I know a little bit more than you do'."

England beat Iran 6 - 2. Wales held the USA to a draw.
