CHRISTOPHER DAY, 40, of Salford, Chipping Norton, pleaded guilty to driving a Skoda Octavia on the A422 near Brackley in March while disqualified from holding a driving licence and when uninsured. He also failed to provide a specimen of blood for analysis. He was sentenced to 16 weeks’ imprisonment suspended for a year with 100 hours of unpaid work and was banned from driving for three years. The bench ordered he pay £85 in prosecution costs.

MICHAEL MCCARTHY, 56, of Craven Way, Didcot, admitted drink driving a Ford Transit on Heyford Hill in March. Tests showed he had 62mcgs of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was fined £120, disqualified from driving for 17 months, and ordered to pay £133 in costs and surcharge.

MICHEAL BAKER, 28, of Manor Road, Witney, admitted drink driving a VW Sirocco on Manor Road on March 4 and failed to stop for a constable on the A40. Tests showed he was more than twice the drink-drive limit, blowing 78mcgs of alcohol in 100ml of breath. Baker was fined £350, banned from driving for 18 months and ordered to pay £225 in costs and surcharge.

MARK FLINTHAM, 54, of Abingdon Lock, Abingdon, pleaded guilty to causing actual bodily harm and to assaulting a police constable in Abingdon. He received 16 weeks’ imprisonment suspended for a year and a half and was ordered to pay £100 in costs.

SEAN DENTON, 44, of Onslow Road, Southampton, admitted stealing a bike in St Ebbes Street and handling another stolen bike. He was jailed for six weeks.

ALEXANDER MCCARTHY, 24, of Roman Way, Wantage, admitted drink driving a Vauxhall Mokka on Denchworth Road, Grove, last September – with tests showing he had 65mcgs of alcohol in 100ml of breath. He also admitted failing to stop at the scene of an accident, having crashed into wooden fencing. He was fined £345, banned from driving for 18 months and ordered to pay a £138 victim surcharge and £85 in costs.

DARREN COLLINS, 56, of Folliott Road, Birmingham, admitted possession of a knife in the Gateway shopping centre in January and theft of clothing from Mountain Warehouse. He was jailed for nine months and ordered to pay a £154 victim surcharge.

TOMMY MCDONAGH, 25, of Woodfield Close, Enfield, and Martin Corcoran, 21, of Lynton Close, Brent, pleaded guilty to handling goods stolen from Boots in Witney High Street. Both men received community orders with requirements to complete 100 hours of unpaid work.

TERENCE BROWN, 40, of no fixed address in Berinsfield, pleaded guilty to driving a Peugeot 407 on Cowley Road last November while over the legal limit for drug benzoylecgonine. He was fined £120, banned from the roads for a year and must pay £133 in costs and surcharge.

DENER DE MORAES, 49, of Stratfield Road, Kidlington, pleaded guilty to drink driving a Vauxhall Zafira on the High Street in Kidlington. Tests showed the driver had 109mcgs of alcohol in 100ml of breath, more than three times the legal limit. Moraes was ordered to do 80 hours of unpaid work, banned from driving for two years and must pay a £114 victim surcharge.

TOBIAS DAVIS, 28, of Spruce Drive, Bicester, pleaded guilty to failing to comply with roadside impairment, breath and drugs tests after being stopped in Oxford in March and failing to provide a breath specimen at the police station. He was fined £704, banned from driving for a year and a half and must pay a £282 victim surcharge and £85 in costs.
