The results of a new patient survey have revealed the worst GP practices in Oxfordshire.

NHS England released the data from the latest annual independent survey that is sent out to more than two million people across the UK.

The survey aims to gauge how people feel about their local GPs.

Questions covered a range of topics such as how easy it is to book an appointment and how good the healthcare professional that treated them was.

In general, people’s satisfaction with the level of care provided was very high but patients expressed frustration over the time it took to book appointments and how often they could speak to their preferred GP.

The biggest indicator of patient satisfaction is how people answered "Overall, how would you describe your experience of your GP practice?"

Here are the 10 GP practices in Oxfordshire that scored worst on the overall satisfaction scale:

10. Didcot Health Centre Practice. Didcot: 70.12 per cent

9. The Nuffield Health Centre, Witney: 70.03 per cent

8. The Charlbury Medical Centre, Charlbury: 69.76 per cent

7. Banbury Cross Health Centre, Banbury: 66.98 per cent

6. Chipping Norton Health Centre, Chipping Norton: 66.04 per cent

5. Broadshires Health Centre, Carterton: 65.47 per cent

4. Alchester Medical Group, Langford Medical Practice, Bicester: 60.03 per cent

3. Woodlands Medical Centre, Didcot: 59.29 per cent

2. Montgomery House Surgery, Bicester: 58.08 per cent

1. Newbury Street Practice, Wantage: 49.13 per cent
