Patients in Oxfordshire have had their say on how easy it is to get through on the phone to their local GP surgery.

NHS England released the data from the latest annual independent survey that is sent out to more than two million people across the UK.

The survey aims to gauge how people feel about their local GPs.

Questions covered a range of topics such as how easy it is to book an appointment and how good the healthcare professional that treated them was.

One of the indicators of overall satisfaction was the ease of getting through on the phone to the surgery.

Here are the 10 GP practices in Oxfordshire that are the hardest to get through to on the phone according to the survey:

10. Windrush Surgery, Banbury: 46.58 per cent

9, Nuffield Health Centre, Witney: 41.48 per cent

8. Oak Tree Health Centre, Didcot: 41.77 per cent

7. Alchester Medical Group, Langford Medical Practice, Bicester: 40.93 per cent

6. Windrush Medical Practice, Witney: 39.86 per cent

5. Didcot Health Centre Practice, 30.90 per cent

4. Broadshires Health Centre, Carterton: 30.49 per cent

3. Montgomery House Surgery, Bicester: 27.80 per cent

2. Woodlands Medical Centre, Didcot: 23.44 per cent

1. Newbury Street Practice, 21.10 per cent
