Cokethorpe School held a special dinner to celebrate the achievements of pupils through its Scholars’ Programme.
The event took place on April 30 and honoured the top 10 per cent of pupils within the senior school who demonstrate intellectual curiosity, ambition, resilience and a genuine love of learning.
These scholars are recognised for their achievements across both academic and co-curricular fields.

"Pupils have developed their own titles, gathered sources, planned their responses and written in an academic style, complete with Harvard referencing.
"For some, it represents a shift in how they approach their work.
"Curiosity leads us to enquire; it thrives when we are rigorous.
"Whether reading or contributing, we would always urge pupils to ‘dare to be curious.’"
The programme offers a broad enrichment curriculum, including workshops, lectures, and debates, and encourages independent research.
Scholars present their findings at the school’s Exhibition Evening before publishing articles in the annual Scholars’ Journal.
This year, the journal features 19 topics spanning STEM, humanities, and the arts.
Subjects explored include the history of comics and the role of artificial intelligence in aviation.
Ally Hutchinson, Joint Head of Scholars, said: "The research that our scholars undertake so early in their careers is tremendously inspiring."
Nearly 100 guests attended the Scholars’ Dinner, including headteacher Dr Sarah Squire, scholars, parents, staff, and guest speaker Dr Bo Kelestyn.
Cokethorpe School is an independent, co-educational day school for pupils aged four to 18, based near Witney.
