Oxfordshire libraries have launched their annual short story competition, seeking new writers.
The competition, open to all ages, offers winners the chance to have their work published as an eBook on the Oxfordshire Libraries OverDrive platform and Libby app, for members of Oxfordshire Libraries to borrow in 2027.
Councillor Neil Fawcett, Deputy Leader of Oxfordshire County Council, hailed the competition as a 'fantastic opportunity' for budding writers.
He said: "Past winning stories have gone on to become some of the year's most popular downloads."
The competition is divided into three age categories, with specific word limits for each group.
Entries, which are free, can be submitted until November 15.
