The Great British Bake Off is returning in 2026, but what have all the previous winners been up to since their time on the show?
Over the years, many bakers have been crowned Star Baker, including Nadiya Hussain and John Whaite.
There have also been some memorable moments from Custardgate in 2013 to Iain’s baked Alaska drama a year later.

Series 1 (2010): Edd Kimber
The first-ever Bake Off champion, Edd Kimber, turned baking into a full-time career.

Series 2 (2011): Joanne Wheatley

Series 3 (2012): John Whaite
John Whaite built a remarkable post-Bake Off career.
He studied at Le Cordon Bleu, penned several cookbooks, appeared on numerous TV shows, and reached the final of Strictly Come Dancing as part of the show's first all-male pairing.

Candice Brown became a TV personality, cookbook author, and pub owner.
She has appeared on a range of reality and food programmes while continuing to work in the food industry.
Series 8 (2017): Sophie Faldo
Former army officer Sophie Faldo has continued working in food, recipe development, and media appearances while maintaining a lower public profile than some previous winners.
Series 9 (2018): Rahul Mandal
Rahul Mandal returned to his scientific career while becoming a favourite among Bake Off fans.
He regularly shares baking content and has published baking books.
Series 10 (2019): David Atherton
David Atherton has written several cookbooks and children's food books.
He also works as a health adviser and nutrition-focused food writer.
Series 11 (2020): Peter Sawkins

Series 12 (2021): Giuseppe Dell'Anno
