Pawel Bronk scored the winning penalty as Brize Norton reached the third round of the OFA John Fathers Junior Shield with a thrilling 4-3 penalty shoot-out win at home to Carterton Rangers.
The sides were locked at 2-2 after extra time, Dan Frizzell and Bronk on target for the hosts, with Craig Williams and Chris Smith replying.
But with the scores level at 3-3 in the shoot-out, Brize keeper Michael Burke saved Carterton’s fifth attempt, allowing Bronk to net and seal victory.
FC Nomads also needed a shoot-out to beat Tackley after the game ended 2-2 after 120 minutes.
Chris Lawrence and Jack Costar scored for Nomads, with Paul Gray and Dan Woodley replying for visitors Tackley.
Nomads were spot-on in the shoot-out, winning 3-0 as Tackley hit a post with one effort, put another wide and saw Nomads keeper Dave McCue save their other attempt.
Carterton A overcame Chesterton 2-1 at home, with goals from Dan Sollis and Chris Souldern.
A double from Joe Burgess saw Hanborough win 4-1 at Chadlin-gton.
A strike from Dan Smith and Aston Leach sealed it, with Steven Hunt replying. Steven Burke hit a hat trick in Minster Lovell’s 6-4 win over Hanwell.
Nathan Harris, Eddie Dunn and Scott Thompson were the other marksmen for Minster. A brace from Kevin Davies helped West Witney to a 5-0 home win over Banbury Rangers.
Dan Brierly, Tom Perry and Carl Roberts got their other goals. Middle Barton won 6-1 at Wroxton Sports, with goals from Jack Fowler (2), Ashley Scearce, Josh Heart-shorne, Dimitri Harris and Sean Millar, with his first strike for the club.
Jamie Kennedy hit a hat-trick in Witney Royals’ 7-1 win at Banbury Town Youth. Matt Thompson also scored twice, with Will Griffiths and Luke Rippington completing the rout.
Aston edged to a 4-3 win away at Witney & District FA rivals Freeland.
Aston were 4-1 up at half-time, thanks to goals from Matt Smith (2), Ryan Hewer and Matt Brown.
Alex Rendell, Scott Greening and Adrian Williams hit back, but their efforts were in vain.
Warwick Thompkins hit a four-timer as Chipping Norton crushed FC Mills 6-0. Arrun Withan and Rhys Warner-Carter sealed it.
Hailey put their poor league form aside to beat Wootton 5-0. Dave Cross (2), Jack Bennett, Craig Mays and Mark Wright grabbed the goals.
Charlbury Town hammered Sta-nton Harcourt 5-0, with a treble from Craig McCallum, plus strikes from Gareth Benfield and Mark Goode.
Bampton Town won 3-2 at home to Combe, with goals from Steve Caton, Adam Leigh and Jack Goodchild. Jamie Fisher and Simon Gale replied.
A Tom Gregory double was in vain as Witney Wanderers lost 3-2 at Fairview.
Ten-man FC Hollybush lost 7-1 to St Clements, Tom Coppinger the scorer for visitors Hollybush.
