Paul Brackett was the leading Oxfordshire finisher in a 24-hour track race at Radley College.
The Woodstock Harriers athlete came eighth overall after completing exactly 100 miles in the time period.
Brackett, who was also third vet 50 man home, battled back after feeling unwell overnight and sped up over the final few miles to achieve his target.
The race was part of the British Ultra Fest, which also featured six-day and 48-hour events.
Meanwhile, Woodstock’s Sam Cruickshank came within a whisker of breaking the two-minute barrier in an 800m race at the Oxford City Open.
The vet 35 athlete clocked an agonising 2mins 0.41secs.
