Witney men’s miserable run continued as they went down to a 5-2 defeat away to high-fliers Maidenhead in Middx, Berks, Bucks & Oxon Regional 1 on Saturday.
Tim Hardy and Jacob Dea-con were on target for the visitors, who are third from bottom of the table.
Witney 3rd suffered late agony as they went down to a 3-1 defeat at Wallingford in Division 5.
With the sides locked at 1-1, Witney had looked good for a point.
Jo Taylor had levelled for the visitors in the first half with an excellent reverse-stick strike.
But two goals in the final ten minutes saw the hosts take the honours.
John Brown (2) and Chris Ward netted for Wallingford.
Witney 2nd and Witney 4th were handed walk-over victories from their games against Old Merchant Taylors 3rd in Division 4 and PHC Chiswick 6th in Division 5 respectively.
