Emma Proctor scored the winner as Tower Hill Ladies bounced back with a 3-2 success at Chesham United Res in the quarter-finals of the Southern Region Women’s League Chairman’s Cup.
It was the perfect response to last week’s 2-1 Division 1 defeat against the same opponents.
Tower went ahead after only three minutes. Sarah Snowdon drove forward before chipping the keeper.
Lisa Freeman made it 2-0 after dribbling past the defence and beating the keeper with a super shot into the bottom corner.
However, Tower Hill sat back after the break and were made to pay when a double from Gemma Fraser made it all-square.
But the visitors regained their composure and Proctor secured their passage into the semi-finals with a neat finish from just inside the penalty area.
