WITNEY kick-start their South West 1 East season with a trip to Leighton Buzzard on Saturday, writes Jack Johnson.
The west Oxfordshire side finished fifth last year, thanks to an 11-match winning run.
And forwards coach Jez Hicks hopes the Hailey Road outfit can continue their form into the new campaign.
He said: “We were in really good form and we would like to carry on playing the same way.
“With a few changes, hopefully we can carry on as we left off.”
Witney were beaten 28-19 by Banbury in their last pre-season friendly on Thursday after victories over Cheltenham and Old Tottonians.
