NORTH Leigh’s play-off bid in the Evo-Stik Southern League suffered a setback with a 2-1 defeat at AFC Totton on Saturday.
Yet the game had started well for manager Mark Gee’s side, who took the lead after four minutes of the Division 1 South & West clash.
Lance Williams headed home Jamie Cook’s corner.
George Seacole then twice fired wide as the Millers were on top.
Totton levelled on 34 minutes through Nathaniel Sherbourne.
The match was stopped for ten minutes early in the second half as referee Iain Parsons was forced off injured and assistant Nigel Sykes took over.
And on the hour mark, the hosts secured victory with Nick Watts netting.
North Leigh’s match at home to Wimborne Town on last Wednesday was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
