PROMISING rugby union player Toby Robottom won the main prize at the ninth Chipping Norton sports awards night.
Robottom, one of nine Oxfordshire players vying for a place in the England Counties Under 19 squad, won the over 18 sportsperson award,
Chipping Norton School’s under 18s rugby players took the team award, while the top club honour when to the Four Shires swimmers
The Olympic Legacy Awards, sponsored by Better at the Chipping Norton Leisure Centre, saw Luke Newman, of Chippy Swifts Football Club, take the gold medal.
This honour recognises for are people who help run sports clubs.

Under 11 sportsperson: Jake Brown (cricket).
Aged 11-17 sportsperson: Kitty Hitchens (gymnastics).
Over 18 sportsperson: Toby Robottom (rugby Union).
Aged 11-17 team: Chipping Norton School under 18 rugby.
Under 11 school: Windrush Valley trampoline team, Ascott-under- Wychwood.
Aged 11-17 club: Four Shires SC.
Olympic Legacy Awards – gold medal: Luke Newman (Chippy Swifts FC); silver medal: David Brassett and Richard Ferley (Chipping Norton CC); bronze medal: Zoe Wakefield (Shires SC).
