Witney powerlifters Mark, Lucy and Ryan Anderson with their world titles
IT proved to be a family affair for the Andersons at the BDFPA Powerlifting World Championships in Malta.
Mark Anderson returned to Witney with a European record when winning gold in the less than 60kg bodyweight class, lifting 113kg in St Julian’s.
Wife Lucy also set a new mark, clinching the less than 50.5kg title with an effort of 67.5kg.
And son Ryan made it a clean sweep for the Anderson family, lifting 80kg to secure the winner’s trophy in the less than 52kg category.
The trio had qualified for the event at the British Championships.
