OXFORD City could finish fourth in Vanarama National League South if results go their way on the last day of the season.
Ross Jenkins’ side go to Bath City this afternoon (3pm), knowing a win coupled with a defeat for Dartford at Eastbourne Borough could see them climb a place in the final standings.
City’s play-off place has long been assured, but today’s results determine who they will face in next week’s eliminator round at Court Place Farm.
A fifth-placed finish means they are in action on Wednesday against whoever ends up sixth, currently Eastbourne.
If City secure fourth, they will face the team in seventh – either Havant & Waterlooville or Chippenham Town – on Thursday. Kick-off will be 7.45pm.
The permutations are exciting, but Jenkins’ only focus is on today’s trip to 17th-placed Bath.
“It’s important we go week-by-week,” the City head coach said.
“We’ve got an important game at Bath and it’s important we rest up, prepare and hopefully go into that game with loads of energy and get a good performance out of it.”
If City win their eliminator tie they would progress to the semi-finals, which take place next weekend.
