MARK Faulkner was in scintillating form as he bagged himself a six in his 14-doll haul for Rose Hill against Red Lion B Yarnton.

It was to no avail, though, as the hosts let slip a 1-0 lead to lose the Oxford & District Section Four clash 2-1.

Faulkner’s six helped Rose Hill take the opening leg 21-12, but their opponents hit back with a 24-15 win and edged the decider 16-15.

Arthur Bowers roared loudest for The Lion with a dozen dolls (3-5-4).

Ian Sharp was the other top-hitter in week ten, smashing off 14 dolls (4-5-5) as The Seacourt Bridge came from behind to beat visitors Red Lion B Kidlington 2-1.

It started well for the title-chasers as they won the first leg 18-13, but the hosts claimed a 22-18 victory in the second.

Seacourt set an impressive 23 in the final leg and it proved enough, with the Bells only able to respond with 13.

In Section One, The Blackbird B opened up a six-point lead at the summit with a 2-1 victory over The George A.

After setting and losing the first leg 21-17, they won the second 18-17 and took the third 16-15 as anchor man Graham Hambridge whipped off the required two dolls.

The Black Prince still lead the Premier Section after overcoming a depleted New Club 3-0, with leg scores of 30-15, 19-15 and 23-14.

Gladiators A kept their title hopes alive by defeating fellow high-fliers North Leigh FC 2-1.

The visitors won the opening leg 26-24, but Gladiators replied with a high-scoring 32-25 triumph.

North Leigh could only muster 19 in the decider and anchor man Kevin Baker hit the winning dolls to push them up to 21 and snatch victory.

Kevin Neal was in fine form for Gladiators with a dozen dolls (4-5-3).
