TYLER Goodrham has revealed that he has obtained Irish citizenship as the Oxford United winger aims to break onto the international scene.
The 20-year-old has been in electric form for the U’s this season, and has notched three goals in his last two games.
Eligible to represent the Republic of Ireland on his father’s side, Goodrham is excited by the possibility of playing international football.

He said: “Earlier on in the year, I got my Irish citizenship. There have been no conversations as of yet, but we’ll see.
“If I just keep playing and keep getting my head down, fingers crossed that comes about.”
On what turning out for Ireland would mean to his Irish grandmother, Goodrham said: “I think she’ll be buzzing if and when it hopefully comes.
“Everyone will be buzzing. When I was younger, they’d always buy me Ireland shirts. It’ll be a nice feeling hopefully, if it comes.”
He added: “I’ve got good people around me, who keep me going and keep me grounded, and make sure I’m pushing on and kicking on, and not to get complacent with it.”
Ireland’s first team play France and the Netherlands next month in Euro 2024 qualifiers, while the Under-21s face Turkey and San Marino in qualifying fixtures for the 2025 European Championships.
