LIAM Manning has been nominated for August’s Sky Bet League One manager of the month award.
Oxford United recovered from the 2-0 defeat at Cambridge United to win all four fixtures last month in the third tier.
Those victories included the trips to promotion hopefuls Derby County and Barnsley, bookended by home wins against Carlisle United and Charlton Athletic.
The 12-point haul ensured the U’s ended August top of the League One table.

Manning, who was also shortlisted for the award in April, is aiming to become the first United boss to win a divisional manager of the month award since Ramon Diaz back in January 2005.
Up against the 38-year-old is Exeter City manager Gary Caldwell, Port Vale boss Andy Crosby, and Shaun Maloney of Wigan Athletic.
Former U’s captain Crosby recovered from a 7-0 defeat at Barnsley on the opening day to guide the Valiants to 10 points from the following four games.
Stevenage defender Carl Piergianni, Lincoln City winger Danny Mandroiu and strikers Martyn Waghorn (Derby County) and Charlie Wyke (Wigan Athletic) are nominated for the League One player of the month award for August. All winners be announced on Friday.
