DIDCOT Town will face recent Football League opposition in the Emirates FA Cup.

The Railwaymen will make the trip to Yeovil Town, a second tier side as recently as the 2013/14 campaign, in the third qualifying round stage.

The Somerset outfit were relegated to Vanarama National League South last season and are currently sixth in the table.

Jamie Heapy’s Didcot side won 2-0 at home to Bristol Manor Farm, to make it to this stage of the competition.

Robbie Gallagher gave the Railwaymen the lead with 12 minutes to go, before Cameron McNeill made sure of the victory when he nodded home deep in stoppage time.

Third qualifying round stage fixtures will take place across the weekend of September 30.

Winning clubs at this stage will collect £5,625 from the competition’s prize fund and a place in the fourth qualifying round – the one before the first round proper. Losing clubs will still pocket £1,875.
