  • The Joey Beauchamp Foundation

This week marks two years since the passing of Joey Beauchamp, one of Oxford United’s greatest ever players, who sadly took his own life.

The Joey Beauchamp Foundation is being set up by Luke Beauchamp, Joey’s brother, and others, to address the need for mental health awareness and support in our community.

The Foundation will need money to function, and supporters can help. OxVox has set up a fundraising page to accept direct donations, which will be passed to the Foundation in April.

To donate please visit: crowdfunder.co.uk/p/joeyfoundation

Luke Beauchamp has done an amazing job getting this set up and we are hoping to help to get the ball rolling early. To do this, we are offering to add a pound from OxVox for every pound donated up to the first £250.

As we write this on Thursday afternoon, we’re enormously encouraged to see that over £800 has been donated, with £700 donated in the first 24 hours of the page being set up.

As many know, there is a real need for the important mental health support and awareness the new foundation plans to provide. Every penny will be gratefully received and used to help people in real need. Please help us help others by donating what you can.

Let’s do this for Joey and keep the donations coming. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

  • Fans’ forum

OxVox and the Oxford United Supporters’ Panel are pleased to confirm that we will be hosting a fans’ forum at the Kassam Stadium on Thursday, March 7, from 6.30pm to 8pm (doors and bar open 6pm).

We will be joined on the night by club chairman Grant Ferguson and Oxford United’s chief executive Tim Williams, who will provide updates and answer supporter questions.

All supporters are welcome to come along for the evening. If you cannot attend, questions for the forum may also be submitted in advance to OxVox at enquiries@oxvox.org.uk or to OUSP at ouspinfo@gmail.com

We will combine questions on the same theme to avoid duplication and to address similar topics together.

On the evening, please enter via the South Stand reception (revolving door entrance) where we will direct you to the meeting room via the staircase, or lift if required. Fans will need to sign in on arrival.
