DES Buckingham says the speed in which tickets sold out home and away for Oxford United’s play-off semi-final games shows the size of the club.
Tickets for the Sky Bet League One play-off games against Peterborough United have both sold out, with U’s fans quick to snap up their allocations.
Buckingham pointed to the improved atmosphere at home games as a sign of how the club is pulling together and moving in the right direction, after what has been a topsy-turvy season.

He said: “To sell out as quick as we did shows how big this club is. I go all the way back to 2010, when we went to Wembley, to get back in the Football League.
“This club is massive, and people want to come and see this club do well. It’s something that we now need to harness.
“Anyone who’s been to the most recent games, something in the stadium has really switched.
“There’s a real positive atmosphere that bounces around the ground. That’s the Oxford United I knew growing up, and that’s the feeling I have now standing on the sideline as a manager.”
United welcome the Posh for the first leg tomorrow night, before the return fixture next Wednesday.
