The new science and art building at Wood Green School in Witney was opened on Friday, September 11, at an event attended by a number of local politicians.
Local MP Charlie Maynard was one of a number of ribbon-cutters, having rushed to the school after an important vote at the House Of Commons earlier in the day.
Headteacher Rob Shadbolt said: "We are incredibly grateful to Charlie Maynard MP for giving his time to formally open The Green House tonight and marking this significant occasion with us.

"Charlie reminded students how this new building is for them, and he is absolutely right.”
The new building, called The Green House, took 15 months to build and will host eight science and art classrooms.
The name was selected after consultations with the school community and was the inspiration of Phil Andrews, a parent of two students in years 9 and 13.
Mr Shadbolt explained: “The building is green, it has strong green credentials with solar panels, air course heating and even a swift and bat boxes built into the wall.
"A Green House is a great image for a school, nurturing and growing new life, and then of course we are Wood Green!"
With music from the Wood Green School Swing Band, among those at the ceremony were Mayor of Witney Jane Doughty and Dan Levy representing Oxfordshire County Council.
Head of art Ann Davenport and head of science Gareth Davies cut a ribbon on behalf of staff, while Mr Andrews did so for parents and head students Amy Block, Lottie Harris and Gabe Watt did so for pupils.
Amy Block said: “It is really inspiring having lessons in The Green House. It is a great environment for learning.
"I am so pleased that I shall have my last year at school learning science in the new building and other students will have many more years to enjoy it.”
Others to take part were Maria Grindley, leader of the PTA and school garden volunteers, Nathan Thomas, CEO of Acer Trust, Will Steele of Barnwood Construction, who was the main contractors, and Liz Jones, chair of governors.
At the ceremony Ms Jones talked about the "strong sense of collaboration and partnership which has resulted in such a beautiful new building".

Headteacher Rob Shadbolt said, “It was fitting that all members of our community contributed to opening our new building today.
"Wood Green School prides itself on playing a strong role in our community and this was shown tonight.
"The new building is stunning; we are grateful to everyone who has made it possible. It will inspire students for generations to come.
"This is a landmark moment in the story of our school.”
